Mr. Warnberg also served on several joint federal, state and local task forces that investigated organized crime, organized auto theft and telemarketing. These task forces investigated crimes within the county, across the state and throughout the country. Each was successful and resulted in numerous prosecutions and convictions of major criminals and organizations.
In 1998 Mr. Warnberg was assigned as senior lead investigator to the newly established San Diego County District Attorney’s Real Estate Fraud Unit. In that capacity he organized, lead and investigated real estate fraud cases. Mr. Warnberg has authored numerous affidavits for search warrants in complex real estate investigations that have been converted and used extensively during state training for agents throughout California. Mr. Warnberg is a graduate of the California Real Estate Principal’s course at Cal State Fullerton. He has taught real estate fraud classes and has participated in law enforcement forums around California to promote training in real estate fraud schemes. Mr. Warnberg was honored by the San Diego District Attorney’s Office in 2003 and received the highest office award for his work in the Real Estate field.
Mr. Warnberg retired from the District Attorney’s Office in January 2003 after 33 years law enforcement service. He returned as a part time consultant for the Real Estate Fraud Unit and continued to investigate real estate and securities fraud cases for the District Attorney. Mr. Warnberg also accepted a teaching position with National Counter Drug Center which teaches operational planning and practical surveillance techniques to federal agents utilizing computer based simulators. Mr Warnberg joined Baker Street Group in January, 2004.
